Welcome to Journey Church

You don’t have to figure it out alone

Attending a new church for the first time can be intimidating! “Will they look at me weird?” “I feel like everyone ‘gets it’ but me.” At Journey Church, we know what it’s like to feel broken, hurt, lost, and confused. We believe Jesus is the only one who can heal hearts and give us peace and purpose in life. Now we take one imperfect step at a time in this “journey” with Jesus.

Want to learn more this weekend? Please come as you are! You can expect to be welcomed by friendly hosts who will show you to a seat and help you get settled. For about 75-80 minutes, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with God through music, as well as a practical and thoughtful message designed to help you take your next step toward God. Our goal is to provide an engaging environment for you to learn and grow in your faith walk and to experience the power and presence of God.

What to Expect

When You Arrive

Once you arrive at Journey, you can pull into the parking lot using the First Seacoast Bank  entrance to the north of the church. You’ll see friendly greeters in the parking lot who will be pleased to direct you to a first-time guest parking spot nearest to the building. There are also accessible parking spots out front for guests who need a shorter walk inside.

We welcome you to enter through the front doors of the church, but our main entrance leads into our cafe. There is also a back door (nearest the bank) that you can come in through as well. Once you arrive inside, you will see more greeters who will help guide you to the cafe for coffee, the Worship Center for the church service, or the Kid City ministry to drop off your children.

Kid City

8:30AM Service Only - If you have children who are under 12, be sure to ask a greeter to direct you to Kid City. Journey Church is pleased to offer a nursery, a preschool, and a youth ministry program run by dedicated volunteers who have been screened and trained to provide a safe and fun experience for your kids. Your children will be well taken care of in a clean, friendly environment and taught using age-appropriate activities and curriculum.

Worship Services

A typical Journey Church service begins with 15–20 minutes of engaging and interactive worship music led by our praise team (although we will occasionally switch things up!). Next, you’ll hear a 45 minute study from the Bible, typically delivered by our lead pastor, Rob Willis. Each message is designed to help you grow in your understanding of the Bible and help you go deeper in your relationship with God. Afterward, a host will come onto the platform to share announcements and suggest next steps for connection. The entire service usually takes around 75 minutes.

FAQs about Journey Church Services

How Do I Get to the Church?

Journey Church is located at 8 Eastern Avenue in Barrington, NH: adjacent to First Seacoast Bank. You can pull through the bank parking lot to Journey’s parking area, where you will be greeted by ushers and directed to our guest parking area.

What Time Should I Arrive?

Most people find it advantageous to arrive 10-15 minutes early. This will give you plenty of time to check your children into Kid City, meet a new friend, grab a cup of coffee in the cafe, and speak with an usher who can find you a great seat for the worship service.

Do You Offer Childcare or Youth Ministry?

Yes, we offer childcare for babies and preschoolers along with a full-fledged youth ministry program for children through sixth grade. Classes are divided by grade level and typically includes bible stories, music, crafts, games, and a snack.

How Long Does a Journey Worship Service Last?

The average service lasts about 75 minutes and often includes great music and a hope-filled message from our Pastor that relates to your everyday life.

What Are Journey Worship Services Like?

Most people would describe Journey as a Biblical church with contemporary worship. Our biggest question also represents our biggest value - "what does the Bible say?" - and we strive to study and live by the answers to that question. As we study the Bible, we seek to understand it, first within the context it was written and then as it applies to our lives today.

Will I Feel Comfortable?

Yes. We will never single you out, embarrass you, or pressure you to sit in the front row. All we want is for you to come as you are and hear the Word of God.

What Should I Wear?

Please wear whatever you are comfortable in. Most attendees are in casual to business casual attire. You’ll see some people in dresses or khakis and others in shorts and t-shirts. We want you to feel comfortable and free to connect with God.

Is the Facility Wheelchair Accessible?

Yes; we invite you to use the accessible parking spots at the front entrance.
