How strong the language Jesus uses when speeking to the pharsees. I think more often then we would like to admit we exemplify the actions that Jesus is speaking agaist in the actions of the pharsees... (Matt 23:25 ... You Hypocricts, you wash the outside of the cups and dishes, but the insides are full of things you got by cheating others and by pleasing only yourselves) Makes me stop and really feel the need to search my heart, evaluate my self and be honest with how sinful I am at times. Yet Jesus still reaches out to us (Matt 23:37 Jerusalem, YOu kill the prophets and stone to death those you are sent to you. Many times I wanted to gather you your people as a hen gathering her checks under her wings, but you did not let me. ) Thats the love Jesus has for us, Dispite all the evil things we are. (This should make us want to continue our journey toward conforming ourselves and our actions towards the character of Christ) I think for me tonight is going to be a night of self evaluation.

Matt, I totally agree. I look at my actions and it is very easy to judge others, yet be guilty of hypocrisy in my own heart. Jesus said, 27"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean. 28In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

If we associate with unbelievers yet judge their "unsaved" status, whose fault is it that they are unsaved--theirs for their ignorance, or ours for not introducing the salvation of Christ to them? One thing I want to repair about myself and that I ask God's forgiveness for is my fear of introducing Christ to others...of starting that conversation.

One of my strengths is not in talking to new people, but that is exactly why I should reflect on how to change that...and step out of my comfort zone.

That is true, I was acutally thinking along the lines of judging people with in the chruch, for me at least I tend to be more critical of christians who "should know better"
Matthew 7:1-5
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."(Also Luke 6:41-42)

But you are so right, about how we treat those who don't belive or look a them

what it comes down to is love, real love not fake strings attached love towards the unsaved. But wittnessing can be so hard at times we live in a world where people are constantly bomarded with sales and people are very perceptive. Of that. and I think if we can't show love towards our brothers and sisters, how will we ever love those who are against Christ.
My thing is I find it important to show people our love though action, no strings attached we need to value them no matter what. Wheather they ever step into a chruch or not. If we show love soly to get them to come to chruch they will see though it. Hypocricy can be combated by being first open and honest with your self. Remembering (omans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God) And not letting ourselves feel superior because we are saved. Remembering(Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God)

if you get a chance read Romans 3 it is really good im sure you've probaly read it before. Its alwasy good to hear again for us who have been saved a while.
