I'm reading right now through the book of Exodus, and it has been a wonderful and much-needed word.
A case in point is that I just finished reading the section about the establishment of the tabernacle, including the details of the furniture, the structure, the priestly robes, etc. Now, I've read through this section many times before, and every time it has been a drudgery to get through that particular section (chapters 25-31).

I am finishing our "Sex is..." series tomorrow (11/16), and at the same
time, Pastor Ed Young of Fellowship Church in Texas, is beginning his
own sex series which I think is great! Check out his Sex-Periment - 7 Days of Sex.
All I can say is it's good when we draw closer and are purposeful and pay attention to each other...Good stuff!

You know, I've learned a lot in my first five years of pastoring. I've
learned MUCH about what you shouldn't do, and I've learned some great
lessons about things you should do. But I think one of the greatest
lessons I've learned is one that I want to pass along to anyone and
everyone - actually, it's going to become a "mantra" of sorts for me.
The lesson is simple, but profoundly biblical...

I've read the Bible through many times. And one of the challenges of
doing so is that the Bible can get old if you don't approach it with
fresh eyes, especially those passages that you grow to love. I don't
typically get surprised when I read it anymore, although I am always
amazed at how God uses it to speak to me again and again.
Yet yesterday, I was surprised...
